What matters to us at SeaChange?
Canada. SeaChange is proud to share flavours and stories of Canada with our Canadian neighbours and with people around the world. SeaChange is especially proud to have been chosen by astronauts as a supplier of savoury treats to enjoy in space! All SeaChange products and packaging are made in Canada.
Good food. SeaChange products are made from real food ingredients blended in small batches as close to the source as possible.
Presentation. At SeaChange, we take pride in our packaging and design.
People. SeaChange’s staff team is our most important resource. SeaChange is also privileged to have special needs workers contributing to our workplace as part of Saltspring Island community programs.
Sustainable choices in everyday business. SeaChange participates in the Vancouver Aquarium’s Oceanwise program for sustainable seafood. The cedar in SeaChange wood boxes is reclaimed from leftover material that would otherwise be destroyed. We reuse and recycle packing materials whenever possible. At SeaChange, we are on the lookout for better ways to do things.
Community. SeaChange donates 5% of net profits to food banks.
The Company
SeaChange Savouries Canada is a family owned business based on Saltspring Island, BC. Founded in 1985 as a provider of Canadian salmon gifts for the corporate world, SeaChange has since expanded into a broad range of Canadian food gifts. Today SeaChange provides Canadian food gifts to hundreds of fine retailers across Canada. Since its inception in 1985, SeaChange has received countless appreciative letters from people all over the world who have received a SeaChange product as a gift.
The owners
SeaChange Savouries is owned and managed by Anne Millerd, John Millerd and Nicki Cameron. Anne manages SeaChange Marketing and Product Development, and coordinates the Sales department together with John and the SeaChange sales staff. Nicki works with the SeaChange production staff, overseeing Operations and Finance. Anne, John and Nicki have been in business together for almost 25 years. Between them they have five children, all of whom worked in the business at some point during their growing up years. In addition to SeaChange, Anne John and Nicki share a common interest in trying to stay fit, dogs, and parties with silly games in which everyone argues about the rules.
